This little spot on the French Riviera certainly is a special place for us. We had no idea that we would come back after falling pregnant there one year ago! And not just the same village, but to the exact same villa perched on the top of the hill with bright turquoise shutters. And it was exactly how we had left it – perfect! The routine remained..
9.00am swim in the sea
10.00am walk to the village to buy breaki at L’Entrecôte and bring back to the villa – palma hams, cheese, baguette…french mustard!
11.00am pack basket and head to Paloma beach
12.00am lunch at Paloma
3.00am Siesta on the beach
5.00am sunset drinks back at the villa
8.00am head out for dinner – every cafe is gorgeous!!
And that is what you do every day!!!
This time on the way back to Menerbes we booked for lunch at Hôtel du Cap-Eden-Roc to see what all the fuss was about! Oh yes I see! It was QUITE a scene watching the paparazzi on the rocks out at sea, trying to get a pic of someone eating inside the restaurant or lying by the hotel pool!
We didn’t see anyone famous but certainly enjoyed the view and the food, followed by a walk through the grounds! Straight after lunch we stopped on the side of the road in one of the little Cap d’Antibes bays for a quick swim before heading back home to Menerbes.
