China for a week…

China for a week…

posted in: Travel Diaries | 2

I got back late last night and I am sooooooo happy to be back in my own bed. I am taking the day off and spending it in my new PJ’s from Sleepy Jones, catching up on emails and eating NORMAL food for a change. I did 3 cities in China in a week – Shanghai, Hangzhou and Guangzhou.

It’s always hectic to go to China for a week. You don’t see blue sky EVER unless you break through whilst in a plane and it is so humid ALL the time. By the time you have reached any meeting from your hotel, you have had a hot sweat a couple of times through your clothes which can be testing. My hair however does always look fabulous there. I am not sure if it is the hot air but my curls seem to just be perfect.

This was my first time visiting Shanghai so I asked my fabulous friend Camilla for a Shanghai must do list.

Hi Sammy Herewith some tips on Shanghai.
Must dos in my opinion –

1) Eat at Ding Tai Fung – Lunch – best dumplings ever (there are a few in Shanghai, concierge will help you).

2) Visit The French Concession, Shanghai’s a swer to the meat packing district.

3) In the evening eat at Coconut paradise – 38 Fumin Lu, Jing An Area.

4) Visit the Bund
Have Fun!!!! xxxx

Beautiful flowers alongside the pavements, it is like this everywhere..

The massive man-made lake is a freshwater lake located in the historic area of Hangzhou.  There are numerous temples, pagodas, gardens, and artificial islands within the lake. A must see…

I can never get over how big designer brands are in China. Did you know that sometimes when the Japanese visit the LOUIS VUITTON store in Hong Kong, they can only purchase one item otherwise they clear out all the stock and the store is empty..

Instagraming….

On my way into Guangzhou – breaking through the smog.

The French Concession

The Bund in Shanghai – looks like a UFO space station?
