Based in New York Yeohlee Teng is one to watch – her art and exhibitions which appear in numerous famous galleries in the USA are always interesting and amazing. Her minimalistic tone mixed with the most amazing cutline’s and shapes make for the most modern day beautiful garments!
“Teng believes that designs should first serve a function but are further refined by time and process”. The designer once used Gaudi, the Spanish influence from Mexico and the mission architecture of the American Southwest as inspiration for her work. Teng is an architect of garments, and in her latest collection she focused on the latern shape and created a skirt collection different size crescent shapes – see below :
