I mentioned a few weeks back that I was dying to try out Hemelhuijs. Yes, I know, how could I have not been to Hemelhuijs yet? I guess the life of a fashion buyer means eating on the go (ie. at my desk)! So I had to force a diary closure time between 12.00-1.30 to have lunch, feeling quite guilty on the way out – as one does in the corporate jungle!
I could see when I arrived that this was no ordinary quick in-and-out lunch spot. I quickly scanned the menu whilst waiting for a friend and realised I would have to have starters, mains AND desserts – oh dear. I could also tell I would have to come back a few times to try everything out – which means more penciled-in naughty lunch breaks!
If you haven’t gone yet – do yourself a favour..
Oh, and I had the pear salad – which I have been raving about ever since. Just beautiful!
